Overview

In the UK there are around 35,000 children and young people living with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

This training course was designed to help school workers, parents, guardians, youth workers, and childminders to care for children who are affected by the condition.

Taking 40 minutes to complete, the course explains how diabetes works, while outlining ways to keep a diabetic child healthy and happy.

Learners will also explore the risks associated with diabetes, their key responsibilities, and the different types of medication available.
