Fixed Fee Arrangement

The cost of defending an employment tribunal claim can be a cause for concern. A fixed fee arrangement with AHR Consultants is split into different stages.

AHR Consultants can be engaged at any stage, you will never be charged more than the fixed amount agreed.

Stage One

Receiving and reviewing all documentation and all work in preparing and submitting the respondent’s response form; ET3.

Stage Two

Case preparation prior to the tribunal hearing. This includes the preparation of document bundles, witness statements, and dealing with all relevant parties (e.g. ACAS, the tribunal, and the claimant’s solicitor). Where appropriate we will also negotiate settlements.

Stage Three

An experienced solicitor from AHR Consultants can act as your employment tribunal representative at this stage. This involves:

  • a) Hearing preparation (submissions, cross-examinations, etc)
  • b) Representation at tribunal
  • c) Representation at the preliminary hearing

Consultancy Basis

AHR Consultants can be engaged on a consultancy basis to assist you with all aspects of the claim.

Our team of solicitors and HR consultants will remain on hand for the duration of the process, ensuring that you receive professional guidance and support. Your allocated solicitor will assist you with the preparation of ET3 documentation, witness statements, etc. and support you through negotiations with the other side.

What is an employment tribunal?

Employment tribunals deal with employment-related issues and disputes, eventually making the final decision on how they should be resolved. Most legal cases regarding employment are heard in employment tribunals and this may include redundancy, discrimination, unfair dismissal, and many other types of claims.

The tribunal is impartial and will consider both sides of a claim before reaching a decision. If your business loses the case, you may be required to reinstate the employee or pay them compensation.

AHR Consultants offer expert employment tribunal support to ensure that you navigate the process fairly and correctly, while looking to secure the best possible outcome for your business.

Why is Employment Tribunal Support important?

If your business is facing a potential employment tribunal claim, it is crucial that you prepare correctly. Having access to employment tribunal support is extremely helpful at this stage, with an employment tribunal representative handling the case on your behalf.

Support can be provided throughout the entire process or at specific stages, depending on the preference and requirements of the business. The initial stages of the tribunal process include preparing witness statements, reviewing documentation, and submitting the ET3 response form.

If you fail to handle an employment tribunal claim correctly, the consequences for your business can be serious and damaging, putting your reputation and financial state at risk. AHR Consultants have an extensive experience of managing successful employment tribunal claims and can provide comprehensive support to help your business minimise risk.

With the broad experience of AHR Consultants on your side, you can feel confident that you are well placed to deal with these situations when they arise.

How to prepare for an employment tribunal

When faced with an employment tribunal, you must begin by preparing all the relevant documentation for your response form. Once this is submitted, documentation bundles should be collated to prepare your case for the tribunal hearing.

Documents required at these stages include:

  • Witness statements
  • Company logs
  • Employee contracts
  • Salary and pay slip details
  • Written statements
  • Any correspondence between your business and the employee
