What is E-learning?

Electronic learning, usually delivered via the internet, is a system of learning that uses digital resources and courses to train users in a more convenient way. E-Learning courses are usually more cost effective and can be completed at the user’s own pace.

Health and safety training is crucial, and businesses need to fulfil certain health and safety requirements in order to achieve compliance. As E-Learning online courses can be completed quickly, and be completed around other work responsibilities, they provide a convenient alternative to in-person employee training.

How do the E-Learning courses work?

E-Learning training courses are available online and delivered through the Learning Management System (LMS), which can be accessed on desktops, tablets, laptops, and mobile devices.

Simply click on any of the course titles listed above, submit your enquiry details using the form provided, and allow us to give you access to over 60 E-Learning courses.

What type of E-Learning does AHR Consultants provide?

AHR Consultants specialise in several areas of health and safety. The E-Learning training courses can be used by any organisation, based in any sector. The general online training courses cover topics ranging from how to complete a Risk Assessment in the Workplace, to proper Food Safety and Hygiene.

We also offer a sector-specific focus, with E-Learning for health care examples covering Basic Life Support in Care, Epilepsy for Carers, and much more.

What are the benefits of E-learning?

Flexible

It is not always possible to designate a certain time in the day for an employee or employer to focus on learning. Traditional learning environments require you to work around them, whereas E-Learning online courses work around you.

You could even access them on the train during your commute, to make better use of the time you have less control over.

Cheaper

When you or an employee is sent to an institution or training centre, you are paying for the room hire, the tutor, and all other expenses surrounding travel and accommodation. With online workplace training courses, you are only paying for the course itself, saving your business money.

Inclusive

Not everyone flourishes in the same environment. Some may prefer in-person training, some may not. With the growth of online access, information and communication has moved to more convenient solutions.

Videos and documents are a more efficient way of disseminating information, that also allows the student to pause, and understand what is being taught. For some people, being surrounded by others in a lecture-based setting could be too stressful.

Who could benefit from E-Learning?

The list of industries using E-Learning for online workplace training is constantly growing. Every sector has a business that is utilising the power of E-Learning, but there are some in particular who are embracing technology to better train their employees.

Every business needs to be compliant with health and safety regulations. The construction industry, for instance, requires a lot of heavy lifting, and you will need to be able to demonstrate you have trained your team in proper manual handling. If you don’t offer training, and someone was hurt, you could be held liable.
