What HR Support Packages do AHR Consultants offer?

For support that protects you from HR headaches through advice, documentation, and training, explore our retainer package options below.

We offer three HR Support Packages which can all be tailored to meet your business requirements:

Consult Oncall
Available to businesses with up to 10 employees, Consult Oncall provides 24/7 access to our dedicated HR and employment law advice line. There is no limit to how many calls you can make, meaning you can always rely on our team of experienced consultants to help you approach any situation with confidence. Whether you need an answer to a simple question or advice on a more complex matter, Consult Oncall acts as an essential layer of protection against potentially harmful HR issues.

Consult Custom
All businesses face unique challenges which require different levels of support. With Consult Custom, we give employers the freedom to shape their own HR package and access the services they need without overspending.

As standard, this package includes 24/7 access to our HR and employment law advice line, as well as an online portal with over 250 documents and templates. In addition to this, a consultant will undertake an initial review of your existing HR documentation, suggesting changes where required. With Consult Custom, you also benefit from AHR Consultants’ Employer Defence Service. Through this service, AHR Consultants will represent clients throughout the employment tribunal process at no cost, subject to certain terms and conditions, which are available on request.

For a tailored experience, you can choose from our selection of optional services and add them to the Consult Custom package in any combination. This includes access to Breathe (a cloud-based HR management system), our Employee Assistance Programme, and Equality and Discrimination Awareness training for all your managers and staff. Thanks to our expertise in health and safety, we can also include an on-site Fire Risk Assessment for your business, allowing you to attain peace of mind in another crucial area of compliance.

Consult Complete
With AHR Consultants acting as your fully outsourced HR department, Consult Complete offers a fully comprehensive solution for all your HR and employment law needs. Rather than incurring the expense and liability of an internal HR department, this package allocates one of our expert consultants as your HR Business Partner to support you with your business strategy, while giving you unlimited access to our wider HR team whenever you need it.

Unlike our other HR packages, Consult Complete provides you the benefit of our entire HR service offering as standard and incudes onsite visits, alongside our 24/7 employment advice line and online portal. This multi-faceted approach allows us to support you on both a strategic and operational level, delivering insights on organisational design, advice and support on employee relations, bespoke training courses, and complex HR related consultancy projects.

Furthermore, Consult Complete gives you access to Breathe (a cloud-based HR management system), our Employee Assistance Programme, annual documentation reviews, an on-site Fire Risk Assessment, and Equality and Discrimination Awareness training for all your managers and staff. With Consult Complete, you also benefit from AHR Consultants’ Employer Defence Service. Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
As proud partners of CiC Wellbeing, we can offer your employees a free 24/7 support service as part of our market-leading Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). This includes the provision of confidential advice, practical information, support, and counselling on a wide range of issues. By adopting an EAP, employers can contribute to the psychological and emotional wellbeing of their employees, which ultimately helps to reduce stress and absence in the long term.

Not only does this save businesses time and money, but it also demonstrates their duty of care effectively, while acting as a proactive management tool for identifying risk. Employees also receive the benefits of a professional and confidential service via freephone, email, live chat, and a mobile app. This is accompanied by access to legal support and financial guidance, making our EAP an option that your employees can rely on in any circumstance.

On-site Fire Risk Assessment
A compliant and up to date fire risk assessment is essential to ensure that your employees and your property are kept safe from the dangers of fire, with this being a legal requirement under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. As well as being a leading provider of HR support, we are also specialists in all areas of health and safety, which is why we offer an on-site fire risk assessment as part of our Consult Custom and Consult Complete packages.

This service consists of an on-site visit from an experienced H&S Consultant, who will complete a full assessment of any fire safety risks in your workplace. Following this, we will assist you in implementing control measures and employee guidance that offers comprehensive protection against the risk of fire. You will also receive our continued support when your fire risk assessment is due for review, as we look to ensure that you remain compliant with guidelines and legislation.

Why are HR Support Packages important?

Finding, employing, and developing the right people is essential for business success. Whatever the size of your organisation, managing your human resources effectively is a key requirement.

However, having said this, smaller businesses may often be unable to finance a loyal human resources department. This can leave them at a disadvantage compared to some of their bigger competitors.

HR support for small businesses can provide a comprehensive human resources service for smaller organisations. This can help manage recruitment and onboarding, as well as ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.

The role of HR in your business

HR play a key role in managing a wide range of functions. This can include:

  • Recruitment and Hiring
  • Onboarding, training and development
  • Performance management,
  • Payroll administration, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Managing workplace conflicts

Even in the most harmonious of workplaces, disputes and conflicts can and do arise. HR plays a critical role in addressing workplace conflicts and maintaining a constructive work environment.

We are trained to handle interpersonal disputes, disciplinary issues, and grievances in an impartial and effective manner. HR may provide mediation and conflict resolution services. This can help mitigate conflicts before they have chance to escalate, impacting on productivity and morale.

In smaller companies, the absence of these services can mean conflicts can escalate, often resulting in important personnel being lost.

HR support for small businesses

Even if businesses don’t have access to an HR department, key HR functions will need to be attended to. This can mean that personnel from across the organisation carrying out some HR duties alongside those associated with their role.

HR support services for small businesses help organisations navigate complex HR issues and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. By outsourcing HR functions, small businesses can access expertise and resources otherwise unavailable to them. This frees up key members of your team, leaving HR-related tasks in the hands of HR professionals.

HR support for small business can contribute to a positive work environment, fostering employee satisfaction and greater engagement. Fair and consistent policies and procedure can help to attract and retain top talent. Crucially, small business HR support services enable smaller organisations to address workplace conflicts promptly, minimising disruptions to morale.

HR support services provides smaller businesses with the expertise and resources they need to address HR challenges.
